MASA Travel Registrar Needed Immediately

 MASA Travel Registrar Needed Immediately

Dear MASA Families,

My name is Surrae Cherepko and I have just resigned in my postion as MASA Travel Registrar due to my children moving on in the high school.

The Travel Registrar position is a board position and has computer work to be done.  As a Registrar you will place the kids that have made the travel teams on their appropriate teams assigned by the Travel Coordinator and work with a Coordinator at PA West.  There will be player cards and team rosters to print and give to the coaches.  I will be here to train and transition this position.

The Fall/Spring season will be coming up at the end of May and this postion needs filled as quickly as possible. If this position is not filled, MASA travel teams will not exist any longer.

This was a great way to be a part of a wonderful soccer program. Anyone interested and would like more information please contact me at 724-600-9277.

Feet First Skills Clinic for U6 and U8 Players
Posted by tabuccille on February 18 2014 - 00:00:00

MASA, in conjunction with the Allegheny Force Football Club ("AFFC"), is pleased to announce the continuation of its foot skills training program for the upcoming spring soccer season entitled "Feet First". Feet First is intended to provide MASA's U6 and U8 players with enhanced foot skills training taught by coaches of classic (cup) level teams, which play in the highest level of competitive inter-club soccer offered in the area. AFFC's coaches bring years of knowledge and experience as both players and coaches to the Feet First program from which MASA's players will benefit. The U6 and U8 age groups are being targeted for the Feet First program in order to provide these players an opportunity to learn and develop their foot skills during this crucial stage in their soccer development. The fee for 8 sessions is only $40.

Players in the Feet First program, which is open to all U6 and U8 MASA players, will meet on Friday evenings (4/4, 4/11, 4/25, 5/2, 5/9, 5/16, 5/23, 5/30) at Murrysville Community Park ("MCP") (precise field to be determined) from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. for training. These sessions, which are in addition to your son or daughter's regular team practices/games, will be led by AFFC's coaches and will focus exclusively on foot skills.

In addition, AFFC is offering all MASA players enrolled in the Feet First program a discounted rate ($50) to participate in the AFFC Force Juniors Spring Academy to be held on Sunday evenings (3/30, 4/6, 4/13, 4/27, 5/4, 5/11, 5/18, 5/25, 6/8) from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at either MCP or Veterans Field. The AFFC Force Juniors Spring Academy, which normally costs $75 for U6 players and $99 for U8 players, provides a further opportunity for our MASA players to enhance their foot skills at the direction of experienced, professional coaches at a reduced cost. Further information regarding the AFFC Force Juniors Spring Academy can be found at, or by e-mailing Simon Austin at The registration form can be found here: AFFC FORM.

As noted previously, the fee for the Feet First program is $40 per player, and advanced registration is required. We believe that the Feet First program will provide your son or daughter high quality instruction at a tremendous value. We strongly encourage all U6 and U8 MASA players to take advantage of this opportunity to improve their soccer skills in a fun and encouraging environment.

Please register for the Feet First program using the MASA web site at  For questions or additional information, please contact Josh Lorenz at
